ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント(SIE)は、PlayStation 5と専用ソフトウェアの本編ダウンロード版(プロダクトコード)をセットにした｢PlayStation 5 “Horizon Forbidden West”同梱版｣と｢PlayStation 5 “グランツーリスモ7”同梱版｣を、それぞれ9月15日、10月20日に発売する。価格はどちらもディスクドライブ搭載モデルが66,968円、デジタル・エディションが55,968円。

なお、PS5については既報のとおり9月15日に価格改定が行なわれ、ディスクドライブ搭載モデルは60,478円で、デジタル・エディションは49,478円で販売される。

PS5用ソフト「Horizon Forbidden West」は、全世界で売り上げ2,000万本を突破した前作「Horizon Zero Dawn」のストーリーから約半年後の世界を描いたオープンワールド・アクションRPG。2022年6月には大型無料アップデートも配信され、本編クリア時の装備で再プレイできる「ニューゲーム+」や最高難易度「ウルトラハード」の追加、新規武器やトロフィーも追加されるなど、ゲームプレイ体験がさらに拡張されている。

「グランツーリスモ7」は、1997年に初代PlayStation用ソフトとして生まれた「グランツーリスモ」シリーズの最新作。シリーズ25周年記念作品でもあり、シリーズ史上最高のクオリティで再現された市販車からレーシングカーまで420車種以上のクルマを収録。膨大な気象データ等を基にしたリアルな時間、気象変化を持つ34ロケーション、97コースレイアウトでドライビングが楽しめる。同作は毎月、無料のオンラインアップデートが配信されており、新規車種やコースレイアウトなどが順次追加されている。
